Philip Reid BA
Lecturer of EBAS programme
Bio
Philip Reid is lecturer of our English for Business and Academic Studies (EBAS) programme. A graduate of the prestigious Rose Bruford College in London, with alumni including the actors Gary Oldman and Lake Bell, as well as the Booker Prize-winning author Bernadine Evaristo, the art of language and communication runs through his veins, and he shares this enthusiasm with students.
For over a decade, Philip worked as an actor, writer and director in the West End. He has also appeared in three Bafta-winning television series and one Oscar-nominated film.
Philip came to academia via Trinity University College in Wales, where he taught theatre and directed cutting-edge adaptions of ‘Macbeth’, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream,’ ‘The Three Sisters’ and ‘The Caucasian Chalk Circle’. With his theatrical background, he keeps our students engaged and desirous to learn.
Communication is an art form, and when our EBAS students graduate, they are not only more confident in their language skills, but also in the delivery of their message – the mark of a great leader.
